Carer Nick Awarded for going above and beyond with his new client June.
June has recently joined the service and has not been out of the house much of late.
On Nick’s arrival June seemed to be a little reluctant to engage. Nick took note of the beautiful day- determined to win June over he sat and asked June about herself and where she liked to visit. June told Nick all about how she used to love visiting Gawsworth Hall with her late husband in his convertible car. June described the wonderful times she had driving with the top down to Nick.
Nick thought that this was a wonderful opportunity to connect with June and jumped at the opportunity to get June out with a ride out to Gawsworth Hall with the top down in his convertible car. June smiled and agreed, wrapped herself up with a head scarf around her hair just like days of past and set off for a drive around the grounds. June had an absolutely beautiful morning reminiscing with Nick in the car.
On their return June stated she had the best day!
Nick and June now look forward to sunny days when they can go again. The Team are so proud of Nick and the care team, doing what they can to make a difference!
